Finding Standards

Using Search

With document search, you can look for a term in document attributes such as the identifier, title and purpose/scope.

Accessing search

To search for a term, access search via one of the following:

  1. Try the Search icon - Located in the upper right of the website.

 

 

  1. Try the Search tab - Located usually next to the Welcome tab.

 

 

  1. Try the Search section - Located in the Find Standards block on the Welcome tab.

Submitting a search term

  • Enter a document identifier or keyword, then click Submit.

  • Use the Category dropdown to narrow the documents being searched by a Volume.

  • Use the Sort dropdown to sort the results.

 

 

Using Libraries

Libraries contain documents that have been systematically (using categories) arranged by the publisher, much like librarians would do at a public or technical library.

 

Accessing a library

  • Try the Libraries option in left navigator, then select a library


  • Try the Libraries section in the Find Standards block on the Welcome tab

 

Locating a document

  • Keep in mind that libraries attempt to be organized systematically, by category

  • Select the desired category or subcategory, then select the desired standard
